TPI Golf Assessment

Hit the Ball Farther. Hurt Less Doing It.

TPI Golf Assessment | Albuquerque, NM

The TPI Golf Assessment identifies exactly how your body moves, and what's getting in the way of a better, pain-free swing.

Golf is a surprisingly physical sport. That might sound obvious, but most golfers don't think about it until something starts to hurt: back pain that flares up on the back nine... a shoulder that's been bothering you for two seasons... distance and consistency that plateau no matter how much you practice, and aches that stay with you for a day or two after a round.

Most of it's mechanical and nearly all of it can be addressed when someone takes the time to look at how your body actually moves, and connects that to how you swing. That's what the TPI Golf Assessment is.

What Is TPI?

TPI stands for Titleist Performance Institute. It's the gold standard in golf-specific movement assessment, used by PGA Tour players and weekend golfers alike. The TPI system was built around one central insight: your swing is shaped by your body. Fix the body, and the swing follows.

Dr. Emily Blair is a TPI-certified chiropractor. She brings both a clinical eye and a deep understanding of movement mechanics to every assessment, which means she's not just watching your swing, she watches your whole body move.

What the Assessment Includes

Your 90-minute initial assessment covers:

  • Swing recording from two angles (face-on and down-the-line)
  • A 16-point movement assessment
  • Correlation of your movement patterns to your specific swing characteristics
  • A prioritized list of what to address first
  • Video homework you can actually use between sessions

Every golf client receives a free CoachNow account with access to your swing videos, your homework videos, and a full written report of your movement assessment and findings.

What Comes Next

After your assessment, you'll have two options for follow-up work:

One-on-one sessions with Dr. Blair which may include gentle mobilizations and manual therapy alongside movement coaching.

Small-group sessions with Square One Fitness trainers focused on building the strength and stability your swing mechanics need.

Most golfers find that addressing both the mobility and the strength sides of the equation is what finally moves the needle.

The Questions Worth Asking

  • Do you lack the distance you used to have, or that you feel like you should have?
  • Is back pain limiting how often you play?
  • Have you taken lessons and still can't get the consistency you're looking for?
  • Are you playing through discomfort instead of enjoying the game?

If you said yes to any of those, the answer probably isn't more swing practice. It's understanding what your body can and can't do, and then changing that!
